William "Will” Krahe, age 38, of Trumbull, CT, passed away July 3, 2024. He was born in Bridgeport, CT to William and Eileen Krahe. Will grew up in Fairfield, CT and graduated from Fairfield High School. While in high school Will received the prestigious Lieutenant Governor’s award for his work with special needs peers. He graduated from Southern CT University with a bachelor of arts degree (magna cum laude), a bachelor of science degree (magna cum laude) and a master's degree in clinical social work. He was a licensed clinical social worker. Will spent the majority of his professional career working at Cornell Scott Hill Health Corporation, serving as an Assistant Program Director.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by the love of his life, beloved wife of 12 years, Ludmila Rodrigues, cherished son Lucas, his brothers Michael Krahe and his wife Holly and Joseph Krahe and his wife Clare Bennett, his sister Catherine Schlegel and her husband Adam, his father-in-law Amaro Ferreira, his sister-in-laws Patricia De Paula and her husband Roginaldo and Debora Riordan and her husband Timothy and his loving nieces and nephews Kimberly, Madeline, Jack, Benjamin and Piper. He was predeceased by his mother-in-law Fatima Rodrigues.
Will was a devoted family man, always energized to find wonderful and creative ways to have fun together, from regularly wearing matching outfits with his son to road tripping to Nashville. Whether throwing a football around in the freezing cold or fostering a love of soccer, Will loved playing sports with his son, who converted him to be a Phillies fan. Will referred to his son Lucas as his sunshine, and he absolutely was. They had an amazing father-son bond that will live on forever. Will loved being outside, grilling Picanha, roasting s’mores, hosting parties in the backyard, and camping. Will found joy and purpose in tirelessly helping others, more than once literally giving away the jacket off his back. He was always the first person to call on birthdays, sometimes leaving a singing voicemail with his family, and his gentle kindness inspired the people around him. He was a phenomenal husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, and he will be infinitely missed.
