William Dunn Obituary

William Andrew Dunn, age 87, of South Salem, New York, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2021 in his son's home in Trumbull, CT surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Greenwich, CT to the late James and Lillian Dunn. Mr. Dunn was a U.S. Army veteran who served proudly during the Korean War and continued his service until being honorably discharged as a Sergeant from the U.S. Reserve in 1962. After his military service, Mr. Dunn enjoyed a 30-year career with Bell Telephone and retired as an Technology Manager for the NYNEX Corporation in 1992. During his retirement he enjoyed watch collecting, building and sailing model boats, and especially found pleasure in traveling. Alaska, Jost Van Dyke and Bermuda were his favorite locations to visit. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Shirley Westfall Dunn, and his sister Virginia Griffin. He is survived by his children Debra Malinovsky and her husband Robert of Poughkeepsie, NY, James Dunn and his wife Janet of South Salem, NY, and Craig Dunn and his wife Magda of Trumbull, CT, his two grandchildren Billy and Cheryl, and his sister Lois Dawson of Southbury, CT. Services will be private. Inurnment in South Salem Cemetery. Arrangements in care of the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home.
