Thomas John Ivanovich, age 85, of Trumbull, CT, passed away December 1, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Bridgeport, CT to the late Louis and Stephanie Ivanovich and was a lifelong resident of Trumbull.
He was a loftsman for Sikorsky Aircraft, retiring after over 40 years of service. Tom was an Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a faithful parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena church for most of his life, and he prayed the rosary daily. Tom loved traveling to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida to lounge on his lanai in the sunshine, almost as much as he loved relaxing in his favorite recliner at home in Connecticut.
Tom was a champion at Wordscapes, loved to enjoy a good meal, and took every opportunity he could to tell and play jokes. His greatest joys in life were his four grandchildren, who he devoted countless hours traveling to swim meets, attending school events, FaceTime calls, talking, listening and just being an ever-present and proud Grandpa.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 60 years, Andrea Mae (Zitnay) Ivanovich, two devoted sons Tom (Ivan) Ivanovich and Todd Ivanovich and his wife MaryKristin; his sister Robin Hainsworth and her husband Tom, four cherished grandchildren, Alexander, Hope, Nicholas and Noelle; his sister in-law Barbara Plofkin, brother-in-law Andy Zitnay and his wife Gail, brother-in-law Robert Zitnay and his wife Johna, and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother David Ivanovich and his wife Ellen.
