Roy Eric Christie

Roy Eric Christie, age 63, of Trumbull, CT passed away June 9, 2023. He was born in Bridgeport, CT to the late Robert and Pearl Christie.  In his youth Roy played Little League baseball.  He had a natural aptitude for the saxophone.  He graduated in 1977 from Trumbull High School.  After high school Roy was employed at Phillips Medical Systems in Shelton, CT.  He always enjoyed good times with friends.  He enjoyed cruising in his 1972 Cadillac convertible. Tragically, Roy was injured on August 14, 1985.  The injury left him paralyzed below the neck.  He was an advocate for the disabled and spoke about his injury to students at Booth Hill School in Trumbull.  Despite his disability, Roy was social by nature and enjoyed and participated in family celebrations and events.  He was predeceased by his brother Paul Christie. Survivors include his brothers Spence Christie and his wife Terri and Cole Christie and his wife Karen and several nieces and nephews.  Arrangements in care of the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, Trumbull, CT. Funeral services will be private at Nichols Village Cemetery.
