Rose Marie (Cryoskie) Thibodeau, age 88, of Bridgeport, was received in God’s grace on January 1, 2022. Mrs. Thibodeau was born in Millerton, NY to the late Stephen and Ruby Cryoskie.
Rose later went on to build a beautiful, large family of 10 children with her late husband, Richard, in Bridgeport while working at Vitramon. She will forever be remembered for her kind heart and warm smile. Her door was always open and she had an endless amount of love and hospitality to share with all those who entered into her home. As she never failed to treat her children’s friends as her own, this would later garner a vast extended family built around her caring nature. Rose and Richard set the foundation for family values and hard work which echo throughout the lives of their children, grandchildren, and extended family.
She embodied generosity and selflessness in every facet of her life. Through good times and bad, she would always have Sunday dinner prepared for all who wished to join. She devoted herself to her family and enjoyed nothing more than being surrounded by loved ones and laughter. On nice days, she could be found relaxing in the sunshine where she nurtured her ever-growing flower garden. Rose was a cherished friend and sister. She spent many nights sharing quality time with her friends playing Pinochle, Rummikub, and Bingo. Above all, she treasured her faith, a value which she deeply instilled in her children. Rose was dearly loved by many and will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
Rose was predeceased by her beloved husband Richard Joseph Thibodeau, her brothers Dennis Cryoskie and Stephen Cryoskie, her sister Bonnie Crofoot ,and her loving children Matthew Thibodeau, Janette Kennedy and Michael Thibodeau.
She is survived by her children Richard Thibodeau, and his wife, Pat, Cindy Lula and her husband, Adam, James Thibodeau and his wife, Janice, Pat Testa and her husband Mike, Thomas Thibodeau and his wife Sue, Rosemarie Thibodeau, Tracey Osterberg and her husband, John, 14 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, her nieces and nephews, her twin sister, Ruby Mastroni, and her brother Leroy Cryoskie.
