Ronald M Bombero Sr.

"Ronald M. Bombero Sr., "Poppy" age 84, of Trumbull, CT, passed away July 13, 2024 at West Haven Veterans Hospital surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Bridgeport, CT to the late Stephen and Emma Bombero. 

 Ron loved the outdoors and enjoyed gardening, fishing, animals and going to antique farm shows. Ron was known for his prankster sense of humor and as an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and summertime cookouts. He worked as a Road Developer.

He was predeceased by his brothers Steve and Thomas Bombero. 

Ron was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Survivors include his beloved wife Frances Dayton Bombero; three devoted children Debra Bombero, Susan Spath and her husband Charles and Ronald M. Bombero Jr; six loving grandchildren Charles Spath III, Stephanie Lengel and her husband Aaron, Justin Spath, Jeremy Spath, Matt Jamison and Chloe Bombero; two cherished great grandchildren Madison and Hailey Lengel and many nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to attend his funeral services on Friday at 10:15 a.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 220 Shelton Rd. Trumbull.  Interment to follow Nichols Village Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
