Romeo Dumlao Nolo, age 75, of Trumbull, joined our Creator on February 16, 2022. He was the eldest child of the late Felix and Iluminada Nolo.
He had a Bachelor Degree in Education and a licensed teacher but he chose a military career. He served in the Philippines Marines Corps for thirty years and he retired as Colonel. As a military officer, he was a recipient of various awards including the Gold Cross Medal, which is a decoration of the Armed Forces of the Philippines recognizing gallantry in action. He was sent for foreign schooling in Quantico, Virginia and New South Wales, Australia.
He was well-versed with passion for learning. He loved to travel, watch films, go to the beach and stay connected with his friends and fellow soldiers.
In 2007, he migrated to the United States of America but he still visited his home country.
Romeo is a beloved husband to his wife of fifty years, Florita, a dedicated father to his four children- Noreen, Neysa, Nadia and Nonalyn, and a doting grandpa “Lolo” to his granddaughter Micaella.
Friends and family are invited to attend his funeral services on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. at St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St. Trumbull. Interment will be private. Friends may call on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service.
