Robert Pietrowski Sr.

Robert Joseph Pietrowski, Sr, devoted husband of Patricia Tudgay Pietrowski, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Bridgeport Hospital with his loving family by his side.

Bob was born on September 27, 1944 to the late Alfred, Sr and Maria Pietrowski of Bridgeport. A 1962 graduate of Bullard-Havens Technical High School, Bob began his long automotive career working alongside his father at Winer Motors in Stratford and then again as co-owners of Service-Rite Shell on Main Street in Bridgeport where he serviced the community faithfully for 38 years.

Bob continued his career as a mechanic at Dave’s Automotive, later known as Pastir Automotive in Stratford, from where he retired in 2020 at the very spry age of 75.

Bob was best known for his love of Corvettes and has owned many throughout his lifetime. He loved boating and spent many years on the Long Island Sound where he created favored memories with his family. Bob had a passion for good food, the most infectious laugh and will forever be remembered for his unwavering generosity of spirit and dedication to his family.

In addition to his loving wife of 58 years, left to cherish his memory are his devoted children, Alicia Roma and her husband Anthony of Milford and Robert Pietrowski, Jr and his wife Nalini of Stratford. Bob will forever be missed by his most cherished granddaughters that were his absolute pride and joy, Amanda Roma and her fiancée Matt Stofko, Lexi Roma and Emily Cottrell and her husband Kevin. Bob is very missed by his beloved feline companion Ashes.

Survivors also include his brother Alfred Pietrowski, Jr and wife Joyce of Milford, sisters-in-law Gloria Nastu of Milford and Claudia Bisogno of Stratford and brother-in-law Ronald Tudgay of Shelton. Bob also leaves behind many nieces and nephews that will always remember their warm and loving Uncle Bobby.

A funeral service will be held on Friday September 15, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford. Interment will follow in Nichols Village Cemetery.
