Prince Yuvaneath Norodom

 Prince Norodom Yuvaneath, 77, peacefully passed away of natural causes on January 14, 2021 at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford, Connecticut U.S.A. with his loving wife Tea Kim Yin by his side.

He is survived by his beloved Queen-Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk, King Norodom Sihamoni, Prince Norodom Ranariddh, Prince Norodom Chakrapong, and Princess Norodom Arunrasmy.  He is also survived by his wife, his 5 children, his children-in-law, his grandson, his grand pets, and his adopted Laotian and Cambodian children. 

Prince Norodom Yuvaneath was born on October 17, 1943 to King Norodom Sihanouk and Princess Sisowath Pongsanmoni in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. He is the eldest son of His Majesty the late King Father Norodom Sihanouk and half-brother to current King Norodom Sihamoni of Cambodia. He married Tea Kim Yin in 1962 and they had 58 beautiful years together.

Prince Norodom Yuvaneath had a magnetic personality and was affectionately known as “Pops”.  He enjoyed hosting gatherings with family and friends. It was his passion and joy to distribute essential items (i.e., beverages, food, and money) to less fortunate people both in the United States and Cambodia. He loved animals, rescued many homeless dogs, and enjoyed feeding the birds. He explored and appreciated different cultures and cuisines, including his homeland of Cambodia.

Prince Norodom Yuvaneath will be missed dearly by his family, friends, and the Cambodian People.  He was respected and loved for his humble and generous ways.
