Patrick Lawrence Blomberg

Patrick Lawrence Blomberg, age 93, passed away February 5, 2022 in Fort Myers, FL after a brief illness. Born in Bridgeport, CT, one of 10, to Henry Blomberg and Charlotte (Mullins). He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Dorothy (Hughes) Blomberg, sister Dolores Vasil, daughter Lynn and husband William Musante, son Patrick L. Blomberg Jr,  daughter Betsy and husband Wil Rivait, seven grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.  
Dad played football as a running back for Harding High School and after graduation attended Boston College on a football scholarship. He started B & B Tile Co. in Stratford, CT and began building custom homes in Trumbull, Oxford, Easton. He was most proud of his development on Carriage Dr. in Nichols where he and his family resided for many years. Our dad loved and owned horses all his life and retired to Charlton, MA to a beautiful working farm he named Flower Mountain Farm. He loved horseback riding, basketball at the YMCA, biking, swimming and tennis at the Dunes on Sanibel Island where he resided for over 30 years. Our Dad loved life, his family and hard work. He kept busy and was still actively swimming and biking at 93. We will love and miss him dearly. Services will be held at a later date to be announced.
