Norman J. Michaud Sr.

Norman Joseph Michaud Sr. age 92, of Trumbull, CT passed away January 26, 2025 in his home, surrounded by family. He was born in Stockholm, Maine to the late Antoine Solomon and Evelyn Peters Michaud. Norman was a servo mechanic for Sikorsky Aircraft, retiring after over 35 years of service.  Norman loved fishing, renovating homes, and working in the outdoors. While being treated for cancer his stated goal was to "get back outside to chop wood." He was never happier than when he was riding his lawn tractor around the yard even after he could no longer walk. He was very proud of his time serving as Engineman Second Class in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and loved telling stories to anyone who would listen. 
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Eleanor Stout Michaud. 
Survivors include his children, Leslie and Michael Dawkins of Monroe, CT, Shari Waterbury of Harrah, OK, and Norman Jr. and Cathy Masse Michaud of Meriden, CT, his grandchildren, Karl Dawkins and his wife Amanda, April Michaud, Amber Michaud, Lillian McDaniel, Michelle Holst, his great grandchildren, Alexis, Sophia, Emily, Tyler, Brianna, Kailey, Alex, Alexis and Abigail and many, many beloved nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his 10 siblings, Blenda, Lauretta, Clarence, Robert, Anita, Gilman, Mary Rose (Clarice), Jeffrey, Rita, and Henry.
Friends and family are invited to attend his funeral service on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull with Fr. Joseph Marcello officiating. Friends may pay their respects on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
