Muriel R. Christian

Muriel R. Behn Vey Christian, age 99, of West Springfield, MA, passed away at Bear Mountain in West Springfield on November 29, 2023. She was born in Bridgeport, CT and was a longtime area resident before moving to Brimfield, MA. Her favorite pastime was reading novels. Muriel loved dancing and was a member of the Bridgeport Tapettes. She was predeceased by her husbands William Vey and Clifford Christian, her brothers Russell, Vernon (Bud),Larry and Roy Behn, and her son James Vey.

Muriel is survived by her children; Reatha Sorensen and her husband Neil of HI, Dennis Vey of Vermont and Lori Christian of MA; Seven grandchildren Michelle, Erica, Angela, Ryan, Evin, Dane, and Kayb; three great-grandchildren Lucas, Laurel and Annadel along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday December 5, 2023 at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull at 11:00 a.m. Friends may greet the family from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow in Mt. Grove Cemetery.
