Milagros Vizcarrondo

Milagros "Millie" Vizcarrondo, age 75, of Trumbull, CT, passed away October 8, 2025. She was born in New York, New York, to the late Juan and Rita Rodriguez. For more than three decades, Millie served the children of Bridgeport as an elementary school administrator. There, she inspired a generation of educators and held numerous professional leadership roles, including multiple terms as president of the Bridgeport Council of Administrators and Supervisors. During the span of her career she served as head principal of a wide range of Bridgeport schools, including Columbus Elementary, Roosevelt Elementary, and as the first head principal of Luis Munoz Marin, when that building opened in 1992. Following her retirement, she continued to mentor younger colleagues and devoted her time to her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her beloved husband Jose Vizcarrondo Jr., her devoted sons the Hon. Joseph Vizcarrondo and his spouse Dr. Brianne Blumenthal, and David Vizcarrondo and his spouse Lonney Cumberbatch; three loving siblings John, Diana, and Francisco (Frank), and their families; and her two cherished grandchildren James and Charles.

Friends and family may pay their respects on Friday, October 17, 2025 from 4-7 p.m. at the Cyril F Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull, CT. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. at the Funeral Home and at 10:30 a.m. at Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Ave. Trumbull, CT.  Burial will be private.
