Obituary
Michael J. Vonick, age 64, of Stratford, passed away peacefully February 4, 2023, at his home. Mike was born in Bridgeport to the late LeRoy and Mary Bornyak Vonick. He worked as an aircraft assembler at Sikorsky Aircraft for 43 years.
Mike is survived by his wife, Maureen, his brother, Stephen Vonick, brother in law Bob (Joanne) McCarthy, brother in law George (Patty) McCarthy, and his nephew and niece Alex and Devin McCarthy.
An accomplished water and snow skier, Mike's favorite place to be was on the slopes of Vermont. He had been a member of PSIA and worked a few years as a ski instructor at Magic Mountain in Vermont. Mike also had a love for animals and will be dearly missed by his yellow lab, Riley.
Friends and family are invited to attend his funeral on Friday at 11:00 a.m. directly to St. Marks' Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford, CT. Interment will be private. Friends may greet the family on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull, CT.
