Michael Thibodeau Obituary

Michael K. Thibodeau, age 52, of Derby, passed away surrounded by his loving family on March 3, 2021. He was born into a large loving Catholic family as the eighth of ten children in Bridgeport, CT and was a lifelong area resident.
Michael will always be remembered for his sharp wit, youthful spirit, and his ability to find humor in any situation. He became an extremely skilled, savvy, and successful electrician. He worked at ADT for over 20 years as a service technician and was highly regarded and respected by his peers. His passion and knowledge in his profession allowed him to form meaningful connections with his clients and co-workers. The most important thing to Michael was the value of family, as well as the importance of having close friends with lifelong bonds. These foundations helped him create a successful and happy life, and make strong and genuine relationships.
He carried the traditions that were garnered from his upbringing into his life as a father and a role model. Michael loved riding his Harley, fishing with loved ones, and passing on his love for family and traditions like cooking Sunday dinner and the importance of quality time. Being the youngest with four older brothers helped drive him competitively which he later instilled in his sons. Golf became one of his favorite hobbies, playing with close friends and family brought him true happiness. Most of all, Michael was a loving father to his sons, Matthew and Michael; a devoted brother and son, and a loyal and true friend.
He is survived by his loving mother, Rose Thibodeau; his sons Matthew Thibodeau and Michael Thibodeau, his siblings, Richard Thibodeau, and his wife, Pat, Cindy Lula and her husband, Adam, James Thiboeau and his wife,Janice, Pat Testa and her husband Mike, Thomas Thibodeau and his wife Sue, Rose Thibodeau of Bridgeport, Tracey Osterberg and her husband, John of Trumbull, and his godson Shane Thibodeau; and 19 nieces and nephews.
