Mary (Lovenguth) Kelly

Trumbull, CT - Mary Lovenguth Kelly, 91, passed away on December 7, 2021 in her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Green Island, NY, daughter of the late Frank and Evelyn Papineau Lovenguth, she resided there until moving to Cleveland, TN in 1967.  Her husband Jack’s employment brought them to live in many places including South Bend, IN, Jackson, TN, Trumbull, CT and Hamilton, NY, retiring to Voorheesville, NY in 1993 and moving to Trumbull, CT in March 2018.  Mary had been employed in the accounting department at the Bendix Corporation in Green Island, NY in the late 1940s.
A homemaker raising five children, Mary had been a member of the former St. Joseph’s School Mother’s Club in Green Island, NY, a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church, a volunteer as the Girl Scout Cookie Chairman and she had been a volunteer at Hamilton Hospitality.  Mary loved to bowl and belonged to a bowling league in Green Island for many years while raising her family.  She also loved to dance and could do the jitterbug like no other!
She is the beloved wife of John H. “Jack” Kelly; devoted mother of John F, Kelly, Jean M. Cusick, Kathleen Price, Patricia A. Kelly, and the late William M. Kelly; sister of the late Shirley (Gerald) Sullivan.  Mary is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Friends and family are invited to attend her funeral services on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at 11 a.m. at St. Stephen's Church, 6948 Main St. Trumbull, CT. Interment will be private in the State Veteran's Cemetery in Middletown, CT. Friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at the Cyril F.
