Marilyn J. Paulson age 78, of Trumbull, passed away on January 19, 2021 at the Jewish Senior Services Center in Bridgeport. She was born in Medford, MA to the late Timothy and Irene McCarthy.
Marilyn attended Immaculate Conception Grammar School, in North Cambridge, MA and Matignon High School, in Cambridge, MA before attending Boston College, in Chestnut Hill, MA where she earned her degree in Early Childhood Education. After marrying the late Robert T. Paulson, she moved to Port Washington, NY and then Parsippany, NJ where she was a beloved high school math teacher. Over 40 years ago, she and her family moved to Trumbull where she raised her family and became an active member of the community.
Family was her passion. Her favorite activities revolved around her grandsons – whether it was seeing them every day going off to school or attending their baseball games.
She is survived by her loving daughter Kristen Kraus and her husband Peter of Trumbull, her two grandchildren Bryan and Jeffrey. Also surviving are her niece Pamela Wilchek and her husband Peter of Franklin Lakes, NJ and her great-nephew and nieces Eric, Jacqueline and Alexandra. She was predeceased by her sister Ruth McInnis and her husband Robert T. Paulson. Friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Friday at 10:15 a.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. at St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St. Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends may greet the family on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
