Marie Mangassarian Link

Marie (Vartouhie) (Mangassarian) Link, age 90, of Shelton, CT passed away February 10, 2021. Marie was born on May 23, 1930 in Paris, France. She was the daughter to the late Mrs. Felor Mangassarian, an Armenian Genocide survivor. After surviving the Nazi occupation of Paris in WWII, Marie and her family immigrated to the United States in 1950.  Marie was very proud of her Armenian Heritage. She had been a member of the Armenian Relief Society, and took several Armenian culture and language classes.
Later in life, she attended school and became a registered nurse. She loved spending time with her grandchildren; telling them stories of her childhood in France and speaking to them in three different languages. Marie excelled at knitting, sewing, and cooking. And she also loved to work on crossword puzzles, watching old movies, and listening to classical & Armenian music. She will be greatly missed by all.

Marie was predeceased by her beloved husband Frank Robert Link ,Sr. She is survived by four loving children, Heidi and her husband Shaun Bresnahan, Jessica and her husband Stephen Moody, Sr., Jennifer and her husband Rick Blaisdell and Frank Robert Link, Jr.;  four cherished grandchildren, Alexis Byer-Alcorace, Isabelle Moody, Stephen Moody, Jr., and Anahid Blaisdell; two loving sisters, Jean Mangasarian and Solange Hayward, and her husband John and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to attend her funeral services on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 12:00 p.m., at the Armenian Church of the Holy Ascension, 1460 Huntington Turnpike with Father Unztag Nalbandian officiating. Burial in Lawn Cemetery in the springtime. Friends may call on Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m.- 11:15 a.m. at the Cyril F.  Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Masks are required at the funeral home and at the church.  Please practice social distancing guidelines. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
