Margaret Toohey Obituary

Margaret Mary (Sanger) Toohey, age 96, of Stratford, passed away July 1, 2022 in her home. She was born in Bridgeport, CT to the late John and Mary Sanger. She worked in retail for many years working at various stores most notably, Sage Allen. She was active in the community volunteering at area nursing homes including Lord Chamberlain. She loved sports and eagerly cheered on her favorite teams including the NY METS and the UCONN Women's Basketball teams.

Mrs. Toohey was predeceased by her beloved husband John Toohey. She is survived by her three devoted sons, William Toohey sand his wife Irene, Kevin Toohey, with whom she resident and David Toohey and his wife Karen; five loving grandchildren Erik, Keith, Amy, Pat and Caitlin; three cherished great grandchildren, Devon, Jack and Liam and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held at St.Mark's Church, Stratford, CT at a later date. Burial in St. Johns' Cemetery. Arrangements in care of the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home.
