Lydia Erika Pudimat (Krause)

Lydia Erika Pudimat (Krause), age 92, of Trumbull, passed away December 20, 2024 in her home surrounded by her loving family.  Lydia was born in Lithuania, raised in Germany, and immigrated to the US in 1951.  She soon met the love of her life, Ludwig Pudimat, and was married when he returned from Army service in 1955, a wonderful union that lasted until his passing in 2017.
Lydia had multiple jobs, but she was first and foremost a homemaker and mother to her four devoted children:  Paul Pudimat and his wife Mary Ann of Salem, CT; David Pudimat and his wife Elizabeth of Pittsburgh, PA; Lisa Filion and her husband Scott of Cheshire, CT; and Karin Wlcek and her husband Peter of Shelton, CT.  Her greatest joy came from being “Omi” to her ten cherished grandchildren:  Anna, Sara, Nathanael, Rachael, Andrew, Paul, David, Laura, Alexander and Rebecca, as well as many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her brothers, Paul and Waldemar, both of Germany.

She was renowned at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bridgeport for her baking skills and was an active parishioner and a member of the Lutheran Church Women.  She and Ludwig subsequently became members of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Trumbull. The family is grateful for the spiritual care and prayers from the Holy Trinity community, and for the excellent care of her friend and caretaker, Jenya.  We appreciate the support provided by Constellation Home Hospice in her last few months allowing her to remain at home.

 A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Saturday May 10, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church,  406 White Plains Rd. Trumbull., with  Reverend Dr. Kathleen Mills officiating. Arrangements are in the care of Cyril F.
