Lucilia (Martins) Henriques, affectionately known as "Mama Lucy" passed away December 8, 2025. She was born in Brazil to the late Augusto and Deolida Martins, and moved back to her home country, Fornos De Algordes Portugal. Mrs. Henriques retired from Avco/Lycoming after many years of service. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed making dishes for family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening, playing golf and traveling, especially on cruises.
She was proud of her Portuguese heritage and frequented the Vasco Da Gama Club and the Portuguese Cultural Center. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was predeceased by her husband Antonio Henriques, her son Jose Henriques, her daughter-in-law Mary Henriques and her brothers Manuel and George Martins.
Survived include two sons Jack Henriques and Charles A. Henriques, three grandchildren Crissy Biondi and her husband Peter, Joe Henriques and his wife Dana and Michael Henriques and his wife Allie, six great-grandchildren Gabriella, Jake and Samantha Biondi and MacKenzie, Avery and Skylar Henriques and several nieces and nephews, including David Martins.
Friends and family are invited to attend her funeral services on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd., Trumbull, CT and at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel, 15 Pepper St., Monroe, CT. (per church rules, individuals must dress appropriately, including long sleeves. Ladies to wear a veil in church). Entombment to follow at Mountain Grove Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
