Lois A. Levine, age 95, of Trumbull, CT, beloved wife of Robert W. Levine Sr. for 71 cherished years, passed away peacefully at home on January 11, 2026. She is also survived by her son Eric and his wife Michelle Levine and four beloved grandchildren Katie, Brooke, Ryan and Brandon. She was predeceased by her son Robert W. Levine Jr. Lois was born in Queens Village, NY to the late Henry and Adel Maisch.
A lifelong community advocate, Lois was deeply involved in numerous organizations and causes. Known for her boundless curiosity, she pursued a wide range of hobbies, including breeding of dachshunds - one of which proudly competed in the Westminster Dog Show. She was an active member of the Audubon Society and generously volunteered her time and talents for many years. Among her many honors, Lois received Trumbull's Humanitarian Award in 1997. She was a dedicated member of the Trumbull Junior Woman's Club, President Emeritus of the Trumbull Historical Society (including the serving on the Circa Dating Committee, documenting the histories of over 100 historic homes) and served as Chairman of the Trumbull Bicentennial Book Committee. For many years, she actively volunteered at the Trumbull Congregational Church, Past and Present thrift shop. Finally, Lois could be seen faithfully placing American flags on the graves of Trumbull's Civil War and Revolutionary War veterans each Memorial Day for 20+ years, a heartfelt tradition honoring those who served our Nation.
Above all her accomplishments, Lois's greatest pride and deepest joy came from her family whom she loved unconditionally. Her warmth, generosity and vibrant spirit will be remembered by all who knew her.
