Leonard Morano Obituary

Leonard A. Morano, age 90, of Trumbull, CT, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2026. He was born in Fairfield, CT to the late Antonio and Teresa Morano.
Mr. Morano was the proprietor of Sign Maintenance Service Company where he worked alongside his son Duke. He had a profound work ethic, as "Business" was his hobby. He instilled that strong work ethic in his family and always went over and above to satisfy his customers.
He proudly served in the Army as an MP, having been stationed in Berlin, Germany.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Wanda (Austin) Morano, his fraternal twin Charles Morano and his sister Lois Santangillo.
He is survived by his devoted son and daughter-in-law Duke and Laurie Morano of Trumbull; two loving grandsons, Austin Edward Morano and Parker Wilson Morano, two step-grandchildren TJ and Shannon; his sister-in-law Suzanne Williams; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Our family extends our deepest gratitude to the compassionate staff and nurses at Mozaic, including the Hospice care team who cared for him with kindness, dignity, and respect in his last weeks. Your gentle hands, caring hearts, and unwavering support brought comfort not only to him but to our family during a difficult time. We are also profoundly thankful to the wonderful men and neighbors from his workplace who faithfully visited him throughout his stay. Your friendship, laughter, and loyalty reminded him that he was valued, remembered, and never alone. Those visits meant more than words can express, and your kindness will always be remembered with heartfelt appreciation.
