Leonard A. Messina

Leonard A. Messina passed away on September 25, 2025 at home with his wife and children by his side. Leonard was born on July 5, 1950 to Joseph A. and Donata (Donna) Telesco Messina in Port Chester New York where he attended schools. Leonard was a bricklayer/mason for New York Local 5 and Connecticut Local 1 for approximately 40 years. Leonard enjoyed time with his family, attending his children's sporting events, time in his garden and doing yard work, vacations and nightly dinners with his family.

Leonard is survived by his wife, Susan Murray Messina with whom he was married for 31 years, and children Donna and Matthew; siblings Joseph A. Messina (Pamela)of Eden Prairie, MN, Diana Nethercott (William) of Rye Brook, NY, sister-in-law Rita Messina of Port Chester, NY, several nieces and nephews He is survived by his mother-in-law Patricia D. Murray of Trumbull and brother-in-law Michael Murray of Trumbull. He was predeceased by his parents and brother Peter A. Messina.

Services will be private with military honors.

The family would like to thank Dr. Moshe Hasbani, Dr. Muhammad Sharfuddin and Dr. Mark Waynik for their years of care and compassion for Leonard which gave him more time with his family.
