Leo F. Lomax age 85, of Trumbull, CT, passed away April 17, 2023. He was born in Providence, RI to the late Leo F. Lomax, Sr. and Avis Gibbons Lomax. Mr. Lomax grew up on Fenner Street in Cranston, RI, and attended Cranston High School where he played varsity basketball and baseball, and met his future wife, Martha Mackey. After high school, he served in the U.S. Air Force for four years, from 1955-59, stationed in Mississippi, Alaska and Arkansas. Following his service, he attended the University of Rhode Island and graduated with a degree in engineering. He and Martha wed soon after he began a 33-year career with DuPont, rising to Global Director of Medical Products Manufacturing. Following his career at DuPont, Leo worked for several years with Witco Corporation, as Director of Operations. Leo was an avid golfer and Rhode Island beachgoer. He spent many years supporting DATAHR (now, Ability Beyond), placing individuals with disabilities into meaningful employment and providing other support services. He is survived by his beloved wife Martha Mackey Lomax, three sons Bryan, Barry and Steven Lomax; his sister Marilyn Ide and many in-laws, nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to attend his funeral service on Monday at 10:00 a.m.at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 220 Shelton Rd. Trumbull, CT.
