Lance Howard Johnson

Lance Howard Jonson, age 58, of Stratford, CT passed away September 24, 2024 . He was born in Providence, RI.  Lance graduated from East Providence High School in 1983. He joined the Navy and was stationed in Norfork, VA and served for 4 years as a Boatswain's Mate on the USS Iwo Jima.

After leaving the Navy, he worked as an auto mechanic for several years. He was a trainer and a school bus driver for companies in RI and CT.

Lance enjoyed camping, hiking, and kayaking with family and friends. He played on several dart and pool leagues in RI. He also coached little league baseball in his hometown.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Rosimar (Rosa) DaSilva, three loving children Matthew Johnson and his wife Kristen, Krystal Johnson and Ryan Johnson, his mother Constance and his stepfather Ronald Nicolson, his brother Keith Johnson and his wife Dana and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father Howard M. Johnson

Friends and family are invited to attend his funeral services on Monday, September 30, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull and at 10:00 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, East Main St. Bridgeport, CT. Burial in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
