Kenneth G. Mencel

Kenneth G. Mencel, age 65, of Bridgeport, passed away February 8, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Ken was born in Bridgeport, CT to the late George and Helen Mencel. He was a retired foreman for the Town of Stratford. He was a member of the P.S.I.A. the N.O.F.T.A. and C.E.R.T. with the City of Bridgeport. He is survived by his wife Mary Ann (Flaherty) Mencel; his children, Kyle and Shannon Mencel; a brother in law Thomas and his wife Ann Flaherty; a sister in law Shelagh Maiorana; several nieces and nephews including Thomas Flaherty, Kelly Flaherty Elisabeth Maiorana, Timothy Maiorana; his cousins Patricia Shannahan and her husband Rick, Nancy Ferrriera and Linda. Friends and family are invited to attend his funeral services on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Sara D. Smith Esq., officiating, at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull. Interment will be private. Friends may greet the family on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
