Keith Golding Obituary

With heavy hearts we announce the loss of Keith E. Golding, age 62, of Shelton, CT, who passed away February 15, 2025 at his home. He was born in Bridgeport, CT to the late Edward and Anna Golding.
Keith grew up in Stratford, CT. He went to Honeyspot Elementary School, Johnson Junior High, and graduated from  Stratford High School class of 1980.  In 1986 he became a patrol man for Trumbull Police Department. He then went on to become Sergeant and spent time on the Narcotics Crime Squad. He then became Lieutenant in 2013, and eventually retired in September 2022 as Captain of the Patrol Division. He received many honorable awards along the way. As soon as he retired he went on to be the School Security Officer at Middlebrook Elementary School. He cherished these few years close to his heart and made many close connections to students, staff and parents.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Angela Signore Golding, his children Bryan Golding and Kayleigh Happy and her husband Ethan, his brothers Edward Golding and Robert Golding and his fiance Ruth, his sister Jane Sorrell and Bob and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Keith is remembered for spending his childhood surrounded by family and hanging with his cousins. They enjoyed many cookouts and learning about Italian meals. He had so many friends in town that he stayed close with until the end. He spent many of his young adult years making memories with his friends and then eventually met Angie at the gas station he worked at. They married in 1986 and later had his two children who he cherished more than anything, Bryan and Kayleigh. He spent the next 15 years camping in Lake George every summer with his family and friends where he made so many unforgettable memories. Keith loved being with his family and was known for hosting the best holiday get togethers with Angie, especially Christmas. He was known for being a die hard Miami Dolphins fan and  for his love of classic cars- especially challengers. He loved a good read on the couch surrounded by his dogs and enjoyed classic movies. Keith was a pillar of his local community and anyone who was close to him. He would give the shirt off his back and always stayed close to who he knew needed him. Keith was a loving son and supported both of his parents until their deaths. He was the life of the party and lit up every room he walked in. He had the greatest sense of humor and made everyone around him laugh. Keith was the most loving father and husband and always protected his family no matter what. He spent a lot of time at sports games and events and never missed a chance to be there for his kids. He was loved by everyone who knew him. Keith was a man that sacrificed his life for everyone’s safety. We lost a hero and he leaves an imprint on all of our hearts. He will be greatly missed.
