Kathryn Virginia Sherlip

Kathryn V. (Lauretta) Sherlip. age 81, of Fairfield, CT passed away, October 31, 2021 in her home. She was born in St. Albans, VT, daughter of the late Joseph and Amy  Lauretta. She was a graduate of the St. Francis Nursing School in Hartford, CT and worked as a registered nurse at Bridgeport Hospital and Cambridge Manor. 

Mrs. Sherlip was an avid tennis player who loved playing weekly with her friends; however, her favorite pastime was spending time with her family, especially her four grandchildren. Her favorite holiday was Thanksgiving when the entire family would gather. She will always be remembered for her stylish way of dressing, which often included black leggings and a cheetah-printed shirt. She will be greatly missed. 

She is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years Bernard J. Sherlip M.D. of Fairfield, CT  her loving daughters Susanne Mehlman and her husband Wayne of Rockville, Maryland and Joy Hultman and her husband Stephen of Basking Ridge, NJ, four cherished grandchildren, Danielle and Ross Mehlman and Timothy and Lindsay Hultman.

Funeral services were private. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
