Jeanne (Regina) Signore

Jeanne M. (Regina) Signore, age 93, of Trumbull, a beautiful woman of great faith, went to her heavenly home on May 15, 2024. She was born in Brooklyn, NY, to the late John and Gertrude Regina. The yellow house on Golden Hill was her home for the past 55 years. In her earlier years, she was an avid gardener and painter. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and was a skilled seamstress. Also musically inclined, she played the fife and harmonica.

Jeanne's happy place was her kitchen, and her true vocation in life was feeding her family and all visitors delicious and plentiful meals. Her Thanksgiving feast with her cranberry bread and legendary stuffing was not to be missed; she even made brussels sprouts taste good.  She had a wonderful laugh and will be fondly remembered by her family and friends for her many anecdotes. She loved all animals and much to her husband's dismay there was always a dog in their home until the last year of her life when she fell in love with a cat she named Yuki who became her constant companion.  

Jeanne was an honorary member of the Pootatuck Yacht Club in Stratford, CT.  In her later years she liked to reminisce about her part-time employment many years past at the Italian Community Center in Bridgeport and for Benman Industries. 

The family would like to thank Feona for the great care she gave Jeanne in her final months, as well as Daisy who cared for her in earlier years and continued to check in with her from time to time. Our deepest gratitude also to the staff at Smilow and to Dr Ali, her faithful primary care physician for over 50 years.

In addition to her parents, Jeanne was predeceased by her beloved husband Anthony C. Signore and brothers and sisters Anna, Marie, Sammy and John. She leaves behind and will be forever missed by her six devoted children Anthony Signore, Gloria Jeanne Signore, Robert Signore Sr. and his wife Mary, Thomas Signore and his wife Mary, Angela M. Golding and her husband Keith, and Raymond Signore and his wife Kathleen; seven cherished grandchildren, Rachel, Jessica, Hannah, Stephanie, Bryan, Kayleigh, and Thomas; her brother Lawrence Regina and sisters Theresa Scavo and Josephine Currier; several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Friday at 11:00 a.m. directly at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 220 Shelton Rd. Trumbull, CT. To view via livestream go to stcathtrumbull.com. Interment to follow in Nichols Village Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull. Memorial contributions may be made to the Trumbull Animal Group or ASPCA.
