Helen "Holly" Hart

Helen “Holly” Hart, born on May 8, 1947 to the late Melvin and Helen Hart in Trumbull, CT, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 30, 2025, under the compassionate care of Connecticut Hospice. 

Holly grew up in Trumbull, CT, attended Lauralton Hall in Milford, CT for high school and continued her education at Cardinal Cushing College. She started her career as a teacher at Tashua School in Trumbull before moving to Saratoga Springs where she worked in regional sales with Levi's Jeans. This was followed by a successful career as a Realtor in Fairfield, CT.   

Throughout her life, Holly embraced adventure with an independent and fearless spirit. She enjoyed skiing, white-water rafting, as well as a cross-country road trip in a van with friends. She traveled all around the world with her cousin, Maureen Goley. Her love for Saratoga Springs — where she spent much of her life—was so profound that she named her favorite cats Sara and Toga after the town. 

Holly lived life on her own terms with remarkable bravery and independence. In her final days, she enjoyed the company of many friends at her home at Spring Meadows in Trumbull. She faced the end of her journey with the same courage she exhibited throughout her life and departed this world knowing she was deeply loved. 

Holly is remembered fondly and survived by her three brothers: M. Peter Hart II, Richard and Terry Hart, and James and Jean Hart. She was cherished by a large extended family of nieces and nephews, including Kathy Hart, who provided devoted care during Holly’s final years. She also leaves behind many friends from all walks of life who were touched by her warmth and adventurous nature. They recall her as the friend who would drop anything to help someone in need or to join a game of Mahjong at a moment’s notice.

Holly's memory will continue to inspire those who knew her. May her adventurous spirit and fearless heart bring comfort to all who mourn her loss. 

Her funeral service will be held on Friday February 7, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
