Helen T. Monaco

Helen T. Monaco passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, June 30 at the age of 88. She was born in Bridgeport, CT  on November 7, 1935, the youngest child of Vincent and Louise Monaco. She worked at Westinghouse/Bryant Electric as an accountant the majority of her career. She was a faith filled Roman Catholic her whole life and a devoted parishioner of St. Patrick’s Church, and later St. Andrew’s Church when she moved across town. Helen was always with her sister Anne, whom she lost a few years earlier at the beginning of Covid. Helen was a kind, generous woman who will be missed by her remaining family.  
She leaves to mourn her loss, her brother Ralph and his wife Gloria Monaco of Trumbull, her niece Nancy Gazaille, her great nephew William Cummings, and his father Chris Cummings of Stratford. She was also an aunt to Kim.
 Helen was predeceased by her sisters, Josephine Donnelly and Anne Monaco.  The family expresses their gratitude to her live-in aide Jackie, the social worker at Hartford HealthCare, Danielle, her nurses Julie and Gloria and the friends she developed in her condo community.  Sue 1 and Sue 2, Lynn, Barbara and Richard, Mary1 and 2, Dawn and Irene, thank you for your kindness and the care you extended to my aunt, especially at the end of her life. In lieu of flowers, do something nice in Helen’s memory anonymously. 
Friends and family are invited to attend her funeral services on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains, Trumbul, CT. Burial will be private in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Stratford, CT.
Friends may pay their respects from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
