Helen Vardamis Fimbers

Helen Vardamis Fimbers, age 92, of Hamden CT; formerly of Trumbull, CT; Orlando, FL; Boston  MA;  and Bangor, ME passed away June 15, 2021 in CT Hospice, Branford.  She was born in Bangor, ME to the late Alexander and Paulina Vardamis, of Greece & Maine. She was a Licensed Realtor who owned her own business for 40+ years, Executive Homes Real Estate. Retiring for good  in 2015. 

She was a graduate of Bangor HS ‘46; and Eastern Academy of Beauty Culture ‘48; Housatonic Community Collage, and Sacred Heart University ’86 

Aside from being a hard working independent Realtor. She was an accomplished artist who had her works shown locally, and a published author of a children’s book. 

She loved music and dancing, and being an avid conversationalist. However, her greatest joy was the time spent surrounded by loving family. 

She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Vilmars Fimbers; three devoted children Eric and his wife Lisa Fimbers, Kevin and his wife Maureen Fimbers, and Julie Nintzel; three grandchildren Amanda and her husband Damien Morgan, Matthew Fimbers, and Katherine Nintzel, and several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her son-in-law Kevin Nintzel, and her 4 siblings Harry Vardamis, George Vardamis, Sophia Vasinko, and Alex Vardamis.
