Gloria Smith

Gloria (Kochis) Smith, age 89, of Trumbull,  passed away peacefully on Thursday, August, 31, 2023 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her devoted husband Thomas Smith. Born on July 3, 1934  in Bridgeport, CT she was the daughter of the late Paul and Jennie Kochis. 

Gloria loved to feed and watch the birds outside her home and old cowboy shows on TV. She also loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons Thomas Smith of Shelton, Timothy Smith of Roxbury, daughters  Cheryl (Nick) Hersh of Monroe, and Patti (Jack) Reese of Derby, eight cherished grandchildren,  Jason Nacovitch, Ryan (Melissa) Nacovitch,  Nicholas (Megan) Hersh, Jesse Hersh, Emily (James) Sciortino, Brad (Keri) Reese, Jennie Reese, and Ian (Sandra) Reese, five great grandchildren, Aubrey and Callie Everlith, Allie Hersh, Jack Reese, and James Sciortino, her brother Paul (Julie) Kochis, sister-in-law Helen Kochis, and many nieces and nephews. 

She was predeceased by her loving daughter Laura Nacovitch and her husband Fred, infant son Barry, brothers Jack Kochis, Thomas Kochis and his wife Diane, sisters Yolanda Tuz and her husband Nick and Valerie Adintori and her husband Peter.
