George W. Kacin
Obituary
George W. Kacin, age 94, of Trumbull, passed away September 14, 2022 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Mr. Kacin was born in Boston, MA . He was a retired captain for American Airlines. Mr. Kacin was an Air Force veteran during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Pequonnock Yacht Club.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Joan Whelan Kacin, six devoted children Kathleen Byrne and her husband James, Donna Gregory, Joyce Kacin, Diane Kacin, Kevin Kacin and his fiance Sara Rutstein, and Thomas Kacin and his wife Cara, ten cherished grandchildren, Matthew, Brendan, Daniel, Jack, Carly, Garrett, Catherine, Jake, Cameron, and Annie; his sister-in-law Barbara Christianson and her husband Richard and several nieces and nephews. He loved his family and faith above all as well as flying, sailing, music, skiiing, his computer and learning. He was our family handyman, he could fix just about anything.
Friends are invited to attend his funeral services on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St. Trumbull, CT. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull, CT.
Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Theresa's School or The Thomas Merton House, 43 Madison Ave. Bridgeport, CT 06604.
