Francis W. Kascak

Francis W. Kascak, age 86, of Monroe,CT, passed away May 18, 2024 at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Kascak was born in Bridgeport, CT to the late Francis and Gladys Kascak.

He graduated from Stratford High School, class of 1955. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and loved his country.  Prior to his retirement, Mr. Kascak was the Tax Assessor for the Town of Monroe. He was a member of the Connecticut Association of Assessing Officers and the Fairfield County Assessors Association.  He enjoyed bowling, archery, a love of nature, professional soccer, and he will be fondly remembered for his fun loving competitiveness while playing family games.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Monique (Monica) Boissonneault Kascak, his devoted daughters Lori Brackett and her partner Scott Kelly, Jean Ilsley, Tricia Kascak and her wife Connie Quakenbush, and Jackie Moore and her husband John, his loving sister Kathy Hegedus and her husband Al, seven cherished grandchildren, ten cherished great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his sisters Shirley Beecham and Janet Mancini both of Stratford, CT.

Friends may pay their respects on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the  Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull, CT.  Friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephen's Church, 6948 Main St. Trumbull, CT. Burial will be private at a later date. 

The family thanks the entire staff at Yale New Haven Hospital and the Smilow Cancer Center for their care and compassion.
