Florence A. Richter

Florence A. Richter, age 95, of Southbury, CT, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Three Rivers, MA, she was the daughter of the late Ignatius and Rose Rosiak. Florence graduated from Stratford High School, Class of 1947. She went on to work as a secretary and bookkeeper for Ratick Combustion in Bridgeport, CT, before retiring.

Florence was deeply engaged in her community. She was a proud member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 10059, the Huntington chapter of AARP, and a senior member of the Fairfield Bowling League. She will be fondly remembered for her vibrant spirit, sense of style, and dedication to those around her.

She is survived by her devoted son, Robert “Ric” J. Richter, and his wife Merrybeth; her brother Franklin Rosiak; her sister Lottie and husband John; her sister-in-law Carol Rosiak; her four loving grandchildren—Brandon, Rachel, Scott, and Kerri; and ten cherished great-grandchildren—Spencer, Shade, Slater, Hayden, Presley, Liv, Lucy, Jack, Adrian, and Ilana. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews.

Florence was predeceased by her daughter, Robin; her brothers, Earnest and Edward Rosiak; her sister Charlotte and her husband William Lindberg; her sister-in-law Barbara Rosiak; and her faithful pets Max, Penny, Sydney, Prudence, and Phoebe.

Family and friends are invited to attend her funeral services on Friday, May 9, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd., Trumbull, CT. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
