Fernanda Fernandes Ferreira

Fernanda Fernandes Ferreira, age 84,  of Bridgeport, CT, passed away March 4, 2024 in her home. She was born in Olmo, Portugal to the late Emilio Fernandes and Candida DeJesus, one of six children. She was a retired C.N.A.  from Hudson View Nursing Home in Yonkers, NY after many years of service.  

Fernanda enjoyed crocheting, cooking and baking homemade breads for family and friends.  She was very family oriented and looked forward to family gatherings.  Fernanda also enjoyed gardening which began in her childhood in Portugal where the family homestead had a large vegetable garden which they used to make homemade meals.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Jose Ferreira. She is survived by her three loving children Antonio and his wife Tracy Ferreira , George Ferreira and Maria Labriola, four cherished granddaughters Taylor, Tiffany and Tina Ferreira and Victoria Labriola; and many nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to attend her wake service on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull, CT. 

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:15 a.m., leaving the funeral home, for an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 220 Shelton Rd.,Trumbull. Interment in Ferncliff Cemetery Hartsdale, N.Y.
