Elizabeth Marie DeClement

Elizabeth Marie (Shan) DeClement, age 86, of Shelton, CT, passed away June 29, 2025. She was born in Bridgeport, CT to the late John and Mary Shan.

Prior to her retirement, she worked for UPS for many years. She was very active in her church in her earlier years, serving on the board and past secretary. Elizabeth enjoyed reading, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. 

Elizabeth was predeceased by her beloved husband Anthony R. DeClement and her son-in law Douglas C. Shackett.

She is survived by her son, Anthony DeClement; her daughters, Lisa Shackett and Gina Sanderson and her husband Jay, her brother Richard and his wife Karen Shan six loving grandchildren, Daniel and his wife Emily DeClement, Adam and his wife Alyssa DeClement, Jake and Brooke Sanderson,  Jazmine and her husband King Jones and Jason and Melanie Vasas; six cherished great grandchildren Bryanna, Milana, Mya, Vincent, Avery and Connor.

The family expresses their gratitude to Yale New Haven Hospital Floor 10 Step Down Unit for their care and compassion.

Funeral services will be held on Monday July 7, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 406 White Plains Road, Trumbull, CT.  Interment to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday, July 6, 2025 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Cyril F. Contributions in memory of Elizabeth Declement can be made to the Yale Interstitial Lung Disease Center to support their research into pulmonary fibrosis at Yale School of Medicine.
