Elio Boccuzzi

Elio Boccuzzi, age 73, of Trumbull, passed away on October 23, 2021.  Elio was born in San Mango, Sul Calora, Italy, to the late Vitantonio and Domenica Boccuzzi.  He immigrated  to the United States at the age of eighteen and lived in Trumbull for 48 years.
Owner of Elio's Hair Styling in Fairfield for 38 years, Elio was known by his clients for his quick wit and sense of humor to the delight and entertainment of his many longtime customers. A devoted family man,  Elio could always be counted on for a helping hand as well as for words of wisdom where needed.  He always had a kind word for everyone.
An avid gardener, Elio took pride in his yard and flower beds.  Following sports teams was a favorite pastime as well as  fishing and playing cards. 
In recent years, Elio became a resident of Jewish Senior Services in Bridgeport where he passed away. The family  is sincerely grateful to the many members of the staff who cared for Elio not only with the utmost of skill but with sincere affection and devotion to his personal needs. His family was told that he continued his outgoing spirit and sense of humor that the staff who cared for him enjoyed.  He especially liked discussing the stock market with Linda, Please keep that up!

Elio is survived by his beloved and devoted wife, Nancy A. Boccuzzi, their loving son, David Boccuzzi, and his wife, Marina, who was the daughter he never had, their son, Max, was the cherished apple of his eye. Survived also by his brother, Sabino Boccuzzi and his wife Denise of Stratford, Quinto Boccuzzi and his wife Isabella of Florida, his sister, Olimpia Melchionno and her husband Bart of Monroe as well as a plethora of cherished nieces and nephews. Elio was also predeceased by two sisters in Italy.
Friends and family are invited to attend his funeral services on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment to follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery.  Friends may greet the family on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
