Eleanor Evancavich Lidman

Eleanor Lidman, age 82, of East Haven, passed away on January 15, at CT Hospice in Branford, CT. She was born in Peckville, PA and was a long time CT resident. She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene in 2018. 

She grew up in Jessup, PA and moved to CT after high school. Eleanor enjoyed listening to Polka music, doing embroidery, driving, and joking around with other people. She also liked African Violet plants, doing paint by numbers, and liked having a bird as a pet. She was Catholic and prayed the rosary every day. Eleanor was a wonderful person who will never be forgotten.

She is survived by her four children, Kenneth Buckley of Fairfield, Victoria Lidman of Bridgeport, Jennifer Singer and her husband Robert of Stratford and Thomas Lidman of East Haven; two siblings Andrea Noll of PA and Joseph Evancavich and his wife Angela of PA; ten grandchildren, Danielle, Dehlia, Bryan, Anita, BobbieJune, Christina, Vanessa, Kevin, Natasha, and Justin; two great grandchildren, Amaya and Skyler; and dog Glitter. 

Her funeral service will take place on Friday January 19, at 10:00 a.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull, CT. Interment will follow at Lawncroft Cemetery in Fairfield,CT. Friends may pay their respects on Thursday January 18, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
