Dorothy Yackavage

Dorothy (Mahler) Yackavage, age 85, formerly of NY, passed away February 3, 2026. She was born in Manhattan, NY to the late Andrew and Mary Mahler. She was a consultant in the Life Insurance industry for many years. She enjoyed dining out, traveling, reading and playing bingo. 

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Leonard Yackavage.

Survivors include her sister, Theresa Bell, her nieces, Natasha Rotella, Cynthia Schmidt and nephews Christopher Bell, Michael Yackavage and Paul Yackavage. 

Friends and family are invited to attend her funeral service on Friday, February 13, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. directly at St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St. Trumbull, CT. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Queens, NY.
