Donald R. Rouleau

Donald R. Rouleau, age 60, of Boynton Beach, Florida passed away April 21, 2021. He was born in Bridgeport ,CT and was a Florida resident for the past 30 years.  After graduating from Trumbull High School in 1978, Donald started his career in the CT Carpenters Union.  After he was recognized for his abilities his company sent him to Florida to oversee some projects and Donald decided in 1990 to stay and  relocate to Florida permanently. He continued to work in construction and received many accolades for his craftmanship and commitment to detail from many well known people such as Celine Dione, Jeff Gordon, and Donald Trump. 
 Donald's true passions in life were spending time with family and friends at home and in Canada and enjoying their block parties. He also enjoyed his cars and fishing. He was a diehard NASCAR fan and attended many races in his lifetime and caught many trophy size fish but friendship was his biggest passion.  He always reached out to friends and neighbors to help them with projects and offer his expertise in carpentry and mechanical skills, and never wanting anything in return.  His neighbors nick-named him Don-Depot for all his help, knowledge, and availability of supplies and tools.  Donald was a selfless and proud man and never asked for anything in return for himself.  He enjoyed his daily gatherings with friends and neighbors in his garage after work to talk about cars, fishing, racing or whatever else the subject might be.  Don will be missed by the many people who loved him.
  He was predeceased by his father Laurier Rouleau, his sister-in-law Lynn MacDonald Rouleau and many aunts and uncles.   Survivors include his devoted mother Rita Nadeau Rouleau; his brothers Henry Rouleau and Norman Rouleau and his sister Linda Conley and her husband Bill; two nieces Jillian Rouleau Synn and Shannon Conley and his nephew Daniel Rouleau, four aunts and uncles Noel Rouleau, Laurent Rouleau, Claire Huot and Lucienne Nadeau. 
Friends and family are invited to attend his funeral services on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Church (To view via livestream go to http://www.st.cathtrumbull.com), 220 Shelton Rd. Trumbull, CT.  Interment to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull, CT.  Friends may call on Saturday from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd.
