Dolores Mary (Bigda) Richard

 Dolores M. (Bigda) Richard, age 95, of Stratford, CT, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family.

 Born November 21, 1930 in Bondsville, MA, the daughter of Anthony and Victoria Bigda, she was the youngest of 10, and always well looked after. The Bigda family was closely knit and remained connected even when state lines divided them.

 Dolores was a devoted wife, a proud and caring mom, grandma, and great grandma (Gigi). Her heart was in everything she did and her greatest joy was family.

Once settled in CT, she took pride in caring for her beloved home and family, cooking, baking, and family vacations (Disney was a favorite).

She was committed to her faith, attending weekly mass at St. James and then St. Mark. 

 Dolores was preceded in death by her cherished husband of 68 years, Robert L. Richard and they are now together again in Heaven.

Her legacy will live on by those she leaves behind her son, Jim L. Richard, her daughter, Charlene Ciccaglione and her husband Anthony, her grandchildren Christie (Miles), Amy (Brian),and Anthony J.; and her great grandchildren Cora and Lucy.

 Friends and family are invited to attend her funeral on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at St Mark Church, 500 Wigwam Lane Stratford. Burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.

 Friends may pay their respects on Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. - 9:45 a.m. at Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
