Dennis Michael Torreso

Dennis Michael Torreso, age 80, of Orange, CT, passed away suddenly on January 28, 2025. He was born in Bridgeport, CT to the late Michael and Louise (Palumbo) Torreso. For over 40 years, Dennis drove tractor trailers for Sals Express, St. Johnsbury, and Pace Motor Lines. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 191. In his early years he had a passion for speed and loved to race cars, often spending time detailing his own prized collection of classics. Throughout retirement, Dennis enjoyed meeting his friends for coffee each morning and watching series after series on Netflix. 

He is survived by his beloved wife Elizabeth “Bettie” (Bean) Torreso, his devoted daughter Kristine (Torreso) Gentile and her husband Nicholas Gentile III and cherished granddaughter Giuliana Inez Gentile. 

He was predeceased by his younger sister Deborah Lumley.

Friends and family are invited to attend his funeral services on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull, CT.  Friends may greet the family on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
