Daniel W. Hoyt

Daniel W. Hoyt, 76, of Trumbull, passed away on May 10, 2022. He was born in Newark, NJ to the late Daniel G. and Lorayne Deus Hoyt. 
Dan attended school in Trumbull and graduated from Babson College, with a BS in business administration. He began his business career as a computer program analyst at Remington Arms. Dan retired from Gardner Denver Nash LLC where he was an Environmental and Safety Compliance Manager, 
Dan believed in giving back to his community and at the age of 16, he volunteered with the Long Hill Fire Department. He served for many years before retiring as Chief of the department. 
Dan and his wife Lois (D'Andrea) loved to travel. They particularly enjoyed spending time in Florida with friends. 
Dan was predeceased by his parents and his beloved wife, Lois D'Andrea Hoyt. He is survived by his brother-in-law Jack D'Andrea (Jeanette), his sisters-in-law Kathy Schietinger and Karen Birnbaum (Ross), his cousin Barbara Deus Reddington (Bob) as well as many nieces and nephews. He will be fondly remembered by many cousins, friends and members of the Long Hill Fire Department. 
Family and friends may call on Monday, May 16th, from 4-7pm, at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Funeral services will be on Tuesday at 10 am. Interment will follow in the Long Hill Cemetery. 
The family requests that people attending services wear a mask.
