Claudette Ann Petraglia of Vernon, CT died Wednesday, December 9, 2020. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Claude Cyril and Mary B Langley.
She leaves behind three loving children, Daria Lauren, married to Scott Snyder of Denver, CO, Erika Kristin, married to Paul Bodell of Lancaster, PA and Damon Mark, married to Heather Petraglia of Stratford, CT. Affectionately known as Mimi, she will be missed by her six grandchildren, Morgan, Derek and Kevin Bodell, McKenna Russen and Logan and Dylan Petraglia. Surviving in addition to her immediate family is her former husband, Vincent Petraglia. She was preceded in death by her sister, Ursula Cahill.
Claudia graduated from St. Angela Hall Academy and from Packer College in New York. A lifelong resident of Vernon, Claudia was loved by all who knew her. Mrs. “P” impacted thousands of childrens’ lives during her 30 years at Center Road School. She had a love for travel and was fortunate to have traveled with friends and family to over 50 countries in her lifetime. Upon retirement and a move to the Quail Hollow community, Claudia continued to liven up the day of anyone she met. She became the unofficial Welcome Wagon and was the true heartbeat of her neighborhood.
Her family wishes to thank all of her friends and extended family for their support through the years. Arrangements are private and there will be a memorial to be determined in the future.
