Ching Tung Lam, age 64, of Milford, CT, passed away March 12, 2024. Ching lost his battle with a rare neuro-degenerative disease. He was born in China to the late Cheung Kan Lam and Kin Yue Kong.
He was a proprietor and a chef with an entrepreneurial spirit who owned Chinese Restaurants where he shared his love of cooking with others. He was a kind, gentle man with incredible bravery, energy, strength, beliefs and devotion to his family.
Throughout his life, Ching believed that there was nothing he couldn't accomplish with hard work and perserverance.
Ching moved his family across the world from China to America in the early 1990's to provide them with the freedom and opportunity to become successful and attain a better life.
He is survived by his beloved wife Lai Kong, three loving children Wai Lam (married to Chitsamay Lam), Fai Lam and Ching Lam (Emmy), three brothers and three sisters, Sisters: Sau Yam Lam, Ming Fang Lam, Ming Yan Lam. Brothers: Ching Wah Lam, Ching Mo Lam, Ching Shu Lam, eleven cherished grandchildren; Misai , Ava, Aidan , Michael, Fiona, Marcus, Sofia, Ella, Adrien, Brandon, Zoe, and many nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to attend his funeral services on Monday, March 18, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd., Trumbull, CT. Burial to follow in Mt. St. Peter's Cemetery, Derby, CT. Friends may pay their respects on Monday from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service.
