Funeral services are rescheduled for Friday October 1, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 220 Shelton R. Trumbull, CT. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 1056 Daniels Farm Rd. Trumbull, CT  with full military honors.

Charles J. Peleponuk, age 83, of Stratford, passed away on September 5, 2021 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. He was born in Bridgeport and was a lifelong area resident.  He worked in the defense industry for Avco Lycoming / Textron.  A devoted father, he enjoyed spending time with his sons camping, bicycling, taking day-trips, taking in a ball game at Yankee stadium, and occasionally at Citi Field.  He also enjoyed spending time with his girlfriend Mary Santili, often watching her grandsons play baseball and hockey.  His greatest joy was spending time with his family and he appreciated each moment he shared with those he loved.  He is survived by his two sons John Peleponuk of North Haven, Nicholas Peleponuk and his wife Michelle of Ft. Mill, SC; his sister Sophie Pacific and her husband Fred of Trumbull.  He also leaves behind three grandchildren Emma, Lillie and Christopher, and many other family and loved ones.  He was predeceased by his sister Dorothy Corris.
