Cathy Joan Jackson

Cathy Joan Jackson, age 73, of Monroe, Connecticut, passed away peacefully in her home with
her family by her side on October 29, 2025. She was born in Great Lakes, Illinois to Austin and
Betty Jean Gauger, then spent much of her childhood and early adult years in Wisconsin. Cathy
and her family moved to Monroe in 1985. Cathy loved nothing more than spending time outside,
whether it was in her garden, biking, hiking, kayaking, traveling, or doing pretty much anything
else that gave her a reason to be in nature. She was a devoted mother to her two children and
grandmother to her seven grandchildren, to whom she was affectionally known as “Aya”.
She is survived by her daughter, Nicole Marsh, and her husband, Alec, of Allentown,
Pennsylvania (and their four children: Arabella, Jackson, Grant, and Elise); her son, Brett
Jackson, and his wife, Genevieve, of Norfolk, Massachusetts (and their three children: Amelia,
Fiona, and Oliver); her longtime partner David Veneruso of Monroe, Connecticut (and his three
grandchildren); and her three siblings: Geoff Gauger, of Waukesha, Wisconsin; Susan Tadeo, of
Delray Beach, Florida; and Lisa Wesenberg of Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
Cathy elected for a celebration of life that will be private and held at the convenience of her
family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains
